Mindlock is made by S-Block Technologies. It locks the apps and sites you choose until you solve a short puzzle. This policy covers the Mindlock browser extensions, the iPhone, Android and Mac apps, and this website.

What stays on your device

Your settings, the apps and sites you lock, your earned-time wallet and your puzzle history are stored on your device. Without an account, nothing leaves it. There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking.

Browser extensions

The extension asks for access only to the sites you choose to lock, when you add them. It uses that access to measure how long a locked site is open and in front, and to show the puzzle screen. It does not read or record what you do on those sites.

Android app

The Android app uses Android's accessibility service for one thing: noticing which app is open, so it can show a puzzle when you open an app you locked and count the time you spend in it. It only reads the name of the app in front. It does not read screen content or collect what you type, and which apps you open never leaves your device. If you sign in, only the minutes you spend sync, as part of your wallet history.

iPhone app

The iPhone app uses Apple's Screen Time framework to shield the apps you pick. Apple does not tell Mindlock which apps you chose or how you use them; that information stays inside Screen Time on your device.

Accounts and sync

You can sign in with Google or Apple to keep one wallet across devices. If you do, we store your email address and name from that provider, your wallet history (when you earned or spent minutes, which puzzle you solved and how long it took) and your settings. We never store which pages you visit or which apps you open. You can delete your account and all synced data at any time from settings, or by emailing us.

Purchases

Mindlock Pro is sold through the App Store, Google Play and Stripe. Those companies handle your payment details; we never see your card. We receive and store the purchase record (product, dates and status) so Pro works on all your devices.

Service providers

Our servers run on Vercel with a Neon database in the United States. Google and Apple handle sign-in. Apple, Google and Stripe handle payments. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

This website

The website stores daily puzzle results in your browser so you can see your streak. It uses no cookies and no tracking.

Children

Mindlock is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
